After allowing his prior attorneys to float two mutually contradictory stories about what "really" happened on December 9, 1981, Mumia Abu-Jamal and his new attorneys are now offering a third, "Twilight Zone" scenario, in which they allege that mobsters conspired with rogue police officers to execute Officer Daniel Faulkner. Further, despite being found at the scene with his emptied gun at his side, Jamal and his brother, William Cook, allege that neither of them was involved in, or a witness to, Faulkner's murder.

Response to Amnesty International's
"Report on Mumia Abu-Jamal"
In February 2000, Amnesty International USA released their report on the conviction and sentencing of Mumia Abu-Jamal. They allege to have spent two years "researching the record" to produce an "impartial" and "thorough" study of the case. We have produced a response to Amnesty USA's report that points out the important facts they missed.
DIRECTORY OF THE 1998 PENNSYLVANIA SUPREME COURT DECISION
Beginning in 1995, the seven member Supreme Court of Pennsylvania afforded Mumia Abu-Jamal and his attorneys three separate opportunities (PCRA - Post Conviction Collateral Relief hearings) to factually prove their allegations of innocence, prosecutorial and judicial misconduct, police intimidation and coercion of witnesses. Having completed their exhaustive three year review of the facts surrounding these allegations, the Supreme Court of Pennsylvania unanimously upheld Mumia Abu-Jamal's conviction and the fairness of the 1982 trial proceedings. While repeatedly chastising Jamal's attorneys for "misrepresenting the record" to support their allegations, the Supreme Court also stated that these allegations are "without merit."
In an effort to present the most unbiased, factually accurate and complete review of the evidence in this case, we have posted the Supreme Court's 1998 ruling in its entirety.

Daniel Faulkner Educational Grant Fund
The Daniel Faulkner Educational Grant Fund was established in May of 2000 to provide financial assistance to students whose parents have been murdered or incapacitated by a violent crime. The grant is administered by Justice for Police Officer Daniel Faulkner, Inc. (a non-profit Pennsylvania corporation that has received 501(c)(3) status from the IRS) which was organized in 1998 to honor the memory of Daniel Faulkner and spread the truth about the manner in which he died. Police Officer Faulkner was a member of the Philadelphia Police Department and was killed in the line of duty in 1981. Applications for the Grant Fund are available for downloading and printing through both the Microsoft Word and the Adobe Acrobat Reader PDF formats.
